I knew Chelsea since childhood so the pressure was on for this stunning Rhode Island Wedding. Their venue was stunning (more about that below) and the entire day was filled with so much joy.

Honoring Loved Ones at Your Wedding
Although we want every moment of every wedding to be full of joy, sometimes the ones we love the most aren’t able to celebrate with us. Tragically, both of Chelsea’s parents passed away last year and it was important to her to pay tribute to her late parents. In this stunning Rhode Island Wedding, Veronica Joy Events we wanted a unique way to honor the bride’s departed parents in a way that feels truly unique and meaningful for both the couple and the guests. Instead of creating a sign or separate memorial-style setup, we tried to infuse her parents into as many wedding moments as possible. From getting ready photos to their own seat at the wedding ceremony!
One of my favorite ways Chelsea honored her departed loved ones was giving them a spot up front at the ceremony. We did this for Chelsea, with her parents’ wedding photo (the same one we brought to her getting ready photos). I know how much Chelsea’s parents are instrumental to her and saving them a seat was a heartfelt way to make sure they are every bit as included in her day as the rest of her guests.
Castle Hill Inn Wedding
Overlooking a quiet New England cove, you’ll find Castle Hill Inn: truly one of the most incredible wedding venues in Newport. I am in awe of the beautiful florals. We were fortunate enough to work with Stone Blossom Florals, easily one of the top wedding florist in the Newport, Rhode Island area. We chose a classic New England wedding color palette and kept everything neutral with white florals and lots of greenery. Something I am always saying as a destination wedding planner? When the setting is beautiful, you don’t need over the top decor. This Castle Hill Inn wedding was more than enough on it’s own.
Above all, the beautiful lake in the background made everything magical as the couple said their “I Dos”. It was a celebration of love and union in a perfectly idyllic setting. Best of all? It will never get old. Chelsea and Willis’ wedding will remain a classic.
Rhode Island Wedding Day Timeline
Chelsea and Willis’ wedding timeline included a lot of time together for the two of them (by design). The most important thing on your wedding day is to enjoy the moment. give yourself a chance to be present by not overstuffing your timeline. Especially because Chelsea was a long-time friend, it was so special watching them enjoy and day as it unfolded. They both had the biggest smiles on their face the entire day!
Not only did they have a first look with lots of time for photos, but they also snuck away for some sunset photos together during the reception. It was short and sweet but your wedding day goes by so fast! As a wedding planner, it’s my job to make sure you enjoy every single moment. I like to say that my couples hire me so that they can feel like a guest on their wedding day. You won’t worry about a thing.
