Although I am usually planning weddings in New York City or the Hamptons, I love heading back to Jersey City to work at Battello. Melanie and David’s wedding was stunning from start to finish, and had a unique Jersey City vibe that carried throughout the day. Their Battello wedding captured the most incredible waterfront views of the NYC skyline.
I really couldn’t have pictured this day coming together any better than it did, but what made it extra special to me was how much fun Melanie and David had. They were such a fun couple. Nothing makes me happier than when couples trust me to do my job so that they can be fully present on their wedding day. I believe your wedding should reflect you and yours, and nobody else. If you want a luxury farmhouse wedding, I’m going to make it happen for you. But, as you’ve probably guessed, being a NYC wedding planner means that I’m much more of a city girl at heart. So when Melanie and David wanted a Jersey City wedding vibe at one of my favorite wedding venues – Battello – I was over the moon. The day started with a first look at a Jersey City train station. I look at these photos and still can’t get over how stunning the location was.
There are some incredible waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline in Jersey City, but I don’t think any hold a candle to the views at Battello. Because the ceremony was outdoors, Melanie and David were able to include their dogs in the day which made it even more special. The flower girl and ring bearers walked the dogs down the aisle and it was the sweetest thing. Instead of wedding ceremony pamphlets that might have blown away in the wind, they chose to have a custom acrylic wedding sign created with stunning calligraphy by Write Pretty for Me.
I love wedding receptions that are just as fun as they are beautiful. I was able to show Melanie and David their Battello Wedding Reception setup before their guests arrived, which I always recommend if timeline allows. Often, the wedding planning timeline is 12-18 months. You deserve to see your vision come to life in a moment you can be fully present for. When your guest arrive, you will be too busy celebrating with them to notice the stunning wedding signage you carefully selected, the ambiance of the lighting, the abundance of flowers. As a New York City wedding planner, it’s always my goal to keep you fully present during your wedding day by leaving the logistics to me.
After looking at photos of Melanie and David’s wedding, you’ll see that Battello is without a doubt one of Jersey City’s Top Wedding Venues. If you want an industrial wedding venue with incredible water views (and floor to ceiling windows to match!), there is no better option. Choosing a wedding venue is one of the first decisions you make when planning a wedding. More than that, it’s one of the most important. If you are looking for a wedding planner, I offer a variety of different wedding planning packages depending on the level of service you would like, which you can learn more about here. You shouldn’t have to plan such an important event alone and I promise to be just as excited about your wedding day as you are. Contact me here to get started.
