I’m never lost for words but when I look back at Elaine & David’s Montauk wedding, I still don’t think there are enough words to describe the magic that was created. Two people who are madly in love combined with a wedding design that was completely personalized to them – seriously, I don’t think there is anything that lights me up more. I am over the moon to share just a few of my favorite wedding details. Gurney’s in Montauk did an absolutely outstanding job for two people I have so much love for!
Gurney’s is one of my favorite wedding venues in The Hampton’s and as you’ll see in the photos below, it’s for good reason. If you are looking for a wedding planner, you can learn more about Veronica Joy Events here. I’m ready to be just as excited about your wedding day as you are. The Hampton’s feels like a home away from home to many New Yorkers. Elaine and David met when she was visiting friends in California and they wanted their wedding to showcase the East Coast and West Coast combining together. They had a lot of fun with this idea – from the invitations, oceanfront ceremony, and modern high fashion design. This East Coast/West Coast squad was everything and more. It looked high end and fabulous.
Montauk is often considered The End – it’s the very last stop if you are heading away for a weekend in the Hampton’s. It’s one of my favorite places. If you are looking for a domestic destination wedding, you could hardly imagine more stunning natural beaches than the ones you’ll find in Montauk. And Gurney’s? Has the absolute perfect view of it all. The East Deck fits between 180-220 guests and because of the neutral design, you can truly transform the space to look like your own. Or, you can leave it au natural because the view literally couldn’t be more breathtaking.
The ocean views continued into the wedding reception! Gurney’s has a few different wedding deck locations, making it such a versatile wedding venue. Depending on the location, they can accommodate a wedding of up to 500 guests! You can probably tell already, but as a Montauk wedding planner, I can’t get enough of Gurney’s. For Elanie and David’s wedding, we embraced the natural beauty of Montauk and wove it throughout the reception decor. We used jewel tones and just a few oceanesque touches like watercolor calligraphy place cards and a sea shell inspired wedding cake. This stunning outdoor tented wedding reception was complete with an outfit change from the bride because this couple was simply the best.
I could have probably shared a million more photos of Elaine and David’s Montauk wedding at Gurney’s. I always say I could look at these images and still feel the emotion from that day! When the decor pieces that make up your wedding are stunning, you really don’t need very much to make a big impact. If we can take away just one thing from Elaine and David’s modern Montauk wedding is that what good is great design if you don’t have fun? I am beyond thrilled with how the wedding plans and design all came together but when I look back at the photos, what brings me the most joy is how much FUN everyone is having in every photo.
If you are looking for a Montauk wedding planner to help you plan your own Hampton’s wedding, I’m up and excited for the challenge (and I know that it’s going to be a lot of fun!). Whether we take advantage of the dreamy ocean views at Gurney’s, or enjoy one of the many incredible wedding venues in The Hampton’s, I want you to be completely present on your wedding day.
